Auto-filled into deposit emails. Enter whichever methods you accept.
Connect your own Stripe account to take deposits or full payment automatically when a customer books — no chasing payments manually. This is completely separate from the Stripe Payment Link above: once connected, you can require payment on a per-service basis and it happens as part of booking, with the money landing straight in your own account.
See your confirmed BookMate bookings inside Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, alongside your personal life. This is one-way — bookings show up in your calendar automatically, but anything you add directly in Google/Apple won't affect BookMate availability.
Add workers so you can assign a service to a specific person — e.g. "Tattoo" assigned to Dean and "Tattoo" assigned to Caroline are each tracked and booked completely independently. 5 workers included free.
Save your Stripe Payment Links here so you can pick one instead of typing an amount every time — handy if you regularly charge the same few prices. Create these in your Stripe Dashboard first, then paste the link below.
Add one team member for free — they get their own login and can manage bookings (confirm, decline, reschedule, request payment), but can't touch Settings or billing.

Dashboard
Your at-a-glance view when you log in. Shows pending booking requests needing a decision, your next 7 days of confirmed jobs, and quick stats. Anything pending shows a badge on the Dashboard nav item so you never miss a request.
Schedule
A day-by-day view of everything booked, in time order. Use this for a quick "what's on today/tomorrow" check without scrolling through the full bookings list.
All Bookings
Every booking lives here, split into four tabs:
- Pending — new requests waiting on you to Confirm or Decline.
- Upcoming — confirmed bookings still ahead of you.
- Past — completed jobs, with an option to export a PDF of completed work.
- Waitlist — customers wanting a slot that was full when they booked. When a spot frees up, click "Slot Available — Notify" on their card to automatically email and text them a link to book it — first to book it gets it.
Each card lets you request a deposit/payment, mark a job complete, reschedule, or mark paid — right from the card. Confirming, declining, requesting payment, or rescheduling all email the customer automatically — nothing extra to send yourself.
Deleting a booking gives you a 30-second countdown to undo it, plus a Delete Now option if you don't want to wait — nothing is ever removed without one of those two happening first.
Availability
Block off whole days — annual leave, sick days, public holidays — and customers simply won't be able to select them when booking. Nothing shows as available unless you've actually got the time for it.
Services
The list of things customers can book — haircut, window clean, gutter clean, whatever applies to your business. Each service has a name, duration, price, an icon, and its own Max Bookings Per Slot — use 1 for a private one-on-one service, or a higher number for a group session. A one-on-one lesson and a 10-person group class can both exist side by side, each with the capacity that suits it.
If more than one person does the work, use the Assign to Worker dropdown when adding or editing a service — see the Workers card below for the full picture.
Workers
Assign a service to a specific worker in Settings → Workers, and it's tracked and booked completely independently — "Tattoo with Dean" and "Tattoo with Caroline" never affect each other's availability. Five workers are included free; a Buy Additional Worker Slot — $9.99 button appears once you're at your limit. Worker slots are permanent capacity, not tied to a name — if someone leaves, just rename their slot for their replacement.
Someone calls in sick? Open that service and click Pause & Notify Customers — it hides just that one service and automatically emails/texts everyone with an upcoming booking for it, leaving every other worker untouched. In Availability, "Block For" lets you close a day for one worker only, instead of your whole business.
Settings
Your business info, logo, booking rules (notice period, how far ahead customers can book), operating hours, payment details, and your subscription/text message allowance all live here.
Also here: your Stripe Payment Links — save as many as you use regularly (e.g. "Full Groom — $65") so you can pick one instead of typing an amount every time a booking needs a payment request. Add a default one too, for the odd custom amount that doesn't match a saved link.
Prefer light mode? Toggle dark/light appearance from the switch at the bottom of the sidebar — your choice also applies to your customer booking page, so the two stay consistent.
Share Page & Website Embed
Your customer booking link works anywhere — website, Instagram bio, Facebook. For the smoothest experience, use the Embed Code instead of just the link: paste it into your own website and the live calendar sits right there on your page, so customers book without ever leaving your site.
Calendar Sync
See your confirmed bookings inside Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, alongside your personal life. In Settings → Calendar Sync, click "Generate My Calendar Link," then add it in Google Calendar (Other calendars → From URL) or Apple Calendar (File → New Calendar Subscription).
This is one-way — your bookings flow in automatically, but anything added directly in Google or Apple doesn't affect BookMate availability. Shared the link somewhere you shouldn't have? Click "Regenerate Link" and the old one stops working immediately.
Team
Add one extra person to help manage bookings, completely free. In Settings → Team, enter their email and click "Invite Team Member" — they get their own login (never a shared password) via an email invite.
They can confirm, decline, reschedule, request payment, and handle the waitlist — but can't see or change Settings, Services, Availability, your Share Page, or billing. One additional team member at a time; remove their access in Settings before inviting someone else.
Trial & Billing
New accounts get 14 days free, no card required. After that, a subscription keeps everything running. You also get 50 free text message reminders each month (reset every billing cycle, unused ones don't carry over) — need more, buy a top-up pack any time from Settings. Texts only go to customers who've ticked "Text me a reminder" on the booking form — unchecked by default, so nobody's texted without opting in.
Once subscribed, a Manage Subscription button appears in Settings — it opens Stripe's own secure billing page where you can cancel, update your card, or view past invoices yourself, no need to contact support.
Automatic Emails
BookMate emails customers automatically at every step — nothing to set up, nothing to send yourself:
- Booking confirmed — sent the moment you confirm a pending request.
- Booking declined — sent if you decline, including your reason if you added one.
- Payment requested — sent when you request a deposit or full payment, with whichever payment options you've saved in Settings (Stripe link, bank transfer).
- Booking rescheduled — sent whenever you move a booking to a new date/time, showing both the old and new time.
Signing In & Your Account
Forgotten your password? Click "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link — no need to contact support for this.
